Peluche

I was named Peluche, the Spanish word for stuffed animal, because when I was initially adopted, that was what I looked like. I was a beautiful, affectionate, and playful baby, and my caretakers loved me. Until I grew up... My family stopped loving me, they left on a trip, and forgot me. I stayed nearby, waiting for them to return. They never have.

I lost my my right eye in an accident. The police has threatened a man that gave me food sporadically with cruelty to animals, even though he is not at fault, my old family is. I am no longer wanted roaming around my old house. I don't have anywhere to go.

If you knew how much love I have to give, maybe you wouldn't be so cold to me. I sit when I am asked, and I am very affectionate. I do not hold a grudge. I only want someone to love me, and to love. If you find it in your heart to add me to your family, to give me just a bit of your life, of your heart, please call Defensores de Animales.

Double Whammy!

This week we are featuring two stars in one week!

Pamela and Victoria are sisters. They lived together, always tied up. Their caretakers moved and left them, tied, under the scorching sun and the piercing rain, without food or water, with only each other as company. They were rescued and now call the Saint Francis of Assisi Sanctuary their temporary home. They are shy at first, but once they warm up to you, they transform into the happy, grateful and loving dogs that they are. Pamela and Victoria are both searching for a home to call their own, hopefully someone can adopt them together. They survived neglect, but they have always had each other.

Won't you add them to your family?

If you're interested in providing a safe welcoming and permanent home for these two sisters, please contact us. Let them teach you what love, respect, and loyalty are all about.

Won't you show them that people can be loyal too?

Our very first Star of the Week!

Each week, we will choose one of our very own animal stars, and feature them here. They are all looking for loving homes, so please email this link to your contacts or consider making an addition to your own family!

Our very own first Star of the Week is Benji!

Benji was found homeless, roaming the streets. No one knows his story, but we can bet it is not much different from that of every other abandoned animal.

All that sadness hasn't transformed Benji. He is still a happy dog. Loving and affectionate. Approximately two years old, and with a new haircut, he remains hopeful at finding a loving and caring home.

If you, or someone you know would like to adopt him, please contact us. He is looking forward to a family full of love.

Will you give him the love he deserves?
